Erika + Frank
Crescent Beach Club Wedding
When you think of destination weddings you imagine flying with family and closest friends to a vacation-like setting with white sand beaches and tropical vegetation, located as far as possible from the bustling city.
Brooklyn couple Erika and Frank really wanted the feeling of a destination wedding, but luckily they did not have to travel too far for the venue of their dreams: the Crescent Beach Club in New York. This place was unbelievable and looked so exotic we almost forgot we were still in NY!
With a private sandy beach, tall beach grass and palm trees, this venue boasts dramatic views of Long Island Sound, offering one of the most outstanding waterfront settings on the North Shore.
The ceremony was of course on the beach, with Erika, Frank, and their parents showing a river of emotions. Frank, who looked incredibly smitten with his lovely lady, did not manage to hold back his tears when Erika walked towards him down the aisle (despite doing a first look and taking photos before the ceremony, he still could not tame his feelings!). Both Erika and Frank read their wedding vows on their mobiles.
The reception was a very happy time, with plenty of dancing that got everyone up and moving. All of their parents got really involved and danced with each other. For me it was fantastic to see the families come together and bond in such a natural way. Erika and Frank: it was awesome to witness your honest appreciation and love for all those around you. Thank you for allowing me to photograph your day.
