InterContinental Barclay Hotel Wedding

The Intercontinental Barclay Hotel is lavish and sophisticated, and when Jackie and Jon entered, the whole place lit up. It was their wedding day, a day when they finally got to celebrate their New York romance and seal it forever.

Their story started with a touch of magic. They met on a summer night in a New York bar.  Which, probably not by chance, was located on 34th Street. Remember the Christmas classic that made both young and old dream?  The two clicked.  After Jackie caught Jon’s eye from across the dance floor, they have not been apart ever since. It was another miracle on 34th street.

To make everything even more special, Jon decided to propose on New Year’s Eve.  His lady’s favorite day of the year.  He chose the majestic Central Park.  His lady’s favorite spot in the city, as the location for his romantic proposal.

As you can imagine, NYC means the world to Jackie and Jon. Since this city brought them together, they decided to get engaged and married right here, in the Big Apple.  And on their wedding day, we even returned to Central Park to visit their favorite spot for photos.

They committed themselves to each other in the St Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, a sumptuous space that gave a regal touch to their ceremony.

Jackie, who looked simply breathtaking in her off the shoulder wedding gown and sparkly tiara, simply swept Jon off his feet when she made her appearance for their first look. She was the picture of bridal perfection, effortlessly matching the luxurious décor of the hotel they chose as their reception venue.

Initially built as part of the Grand Central Terminal, the Intercontinental Barclay is today one of Manhattan’s most luxurious hotels. With its original Federalist style details, the place oozes warmth and class. The bride and groom’s elegantly decorated ballroom was the ideal backdrop for their wedding celebration. They could not have chosen a better venue.

Excited to have all their loved ones under the same roof, Jackie and Jon had a fantastic time at their wedding. They had great speeches.  Danced till they dropped.  And got utterly excited about their wedding cake, which looked almost too pretty to cut with those fondant flowers wrapped around it.

Another love story with two beautiful and oh-so-in-love protagonists. A pleasure to capture.  And a huge thank-you to Jackie, Jon and their families for choosing me and welcoming us so warmly on their wedding day.
