Beautiful Summer Wedding Photos at Interlaken Inn
Welcome to another story of love. One written by Becca and Jerome. Join me on a summer wedding day at the gorgeous Interlaken Inn Resort, shooting a brand new family with lots of hopes and dreams to achieve.
Becca and Jerome met at a party at Washington University in St Louis almost 9 years ago. Becca was a sophomore, Jerome was a senior. Once in a lifetime you meet someone who changes everything, and this is exactly how they both felt while falling hopelessly for each other.
They say love is not finding someone to live with. It’s finding someone you can’t live without. All this made total sense when Becca decided to join Jerome in NYC where he had been living for a while. Both laidback and easy-going, they share their apartment with their 3-year old dog, Bonnie. Even if they have very different jobs (Becca works in advertising in Tribeca, while Jerome works in finance in Greenwich), they have a common passion for traveling, golfing, fantasy football and trying out new restaurants in the Big Apple.
Considering that Jerome is originally from Seattle and his bride from Boston, they live in NYC, but met in St. Louis, it was obvious that their wedding guests came from all over the country to attend their wedding. With this in mind, the couple looked for a venue that offered everything from rehearsal dinner and ceremony, to reception and after-party. Their aim was to create a destination wedding weekend full of fun and celebrations so, when they found the secluded and chic Interlaken Inn nestled in the picturesque Litchfield Hills of Connecticut, they immediately knew this was the country escape they were dreaming of. Set between two shimmering lakes and amidst manicured lawns, this venue provided a dreamy backdrop for their lakeside wedding (I love incorporating nature into my shots, and here I was simply spoilt for choice).
Becca and Jerome looked incredibly serene throughout the day (Jerome seemed to have everything under control at all times). They made the audience laugh with their vows, go aww during their first dance, and sweat like crazy on the dance floor (as things got really wild, both Becca, Jerome and their lovely moms were up in the air at some point, lifted by the couple’s friends).
The only bad thing about this fun wedding was that it had to come to an end. Like all good things in life.
Now feel free to check out their photos and feel inspired! Becca and Jerome, I'm so happy to have had the pleasure of documenting your epic wedding weekend. Thank you for making me feel like part of the family.
