Tribeca Rooftop Winter Wedding
When fate decides that two people should be together forever, they will be, no matter what. Take Lara & Michael, for example. They first met at their old nursery school when they were 3 (true story!). Today, Lara is a 4th Grade Special Education Teacher for a NYC public school. She loves spending time with her girlfriends, enjoying dinners, movies and sipping wine at game nights and, according to her hubby, she is “the sweetest girl”. Michael grew into a sports fanatic who watches all the major sports and goes to lots of games. He also enjoys playing golf in summer with his friends.
Lara and Michael celebrated their wedding in winter, on a whimsical snowy day, with Michael walking through the snow in the morning to see Lara, which reminded me of a scene from a romantic movie. The reception took place at one of my all-time favorite venues: Tribeca Rooftop. I simply adore that downtown loft atmosphere and the panoramic views of the Hudson River, The Empire State Building, Soho, and downtown Manhattan this location has to offer!
The crowd had a blast, dancing and singing from the top of their lungs, and the overall atmosphere was amazing. According to the Jewish tradition, the bride and groom were lifted on chairs, but at one point, Lara fell. There was a slight moment of panic for the guests, but once she got back up and started dancing again, the party went on like nothing happened. And Lara never stopped smiling!
Thank you, thank you, thank you, to Lara, Michael, and their families and friends for warmly inviting me into this very special weekend and for giving me some fantastic material to work with!
