Stephanie + Ryan
Stunning Liberty Warehouse Wedding Photographer
Stephanie and Ryan met the old fashioned way. They were introduced by a mutual friend. They were both single and looking when Ryan’s friend, who also happened to be Stephanie’s work colleague, thought they would make a great match. God bless that guy!
Initially they saw a picture of each other. Surprise! They were both instantly ready for their first date. After a 3-hour phone call that very evening (I told you these guys went classic all the way), they met for a delicious dinner at Fig and Olive in the Meatpacking District. During dinner, it became evident that neither of them wanted it to come to an end. At one point, they looked up and realized they were the only table left and the cleaning staff was starting their shift! They decided to go for a drink at a nearby bar before calling it a night. Ryan dropped Steph off and she had a zillion text messages from her girls dying to know how it went, and if she was still alive. The outcome? Ryan was already planning on taking her out again the following day. Stephanie knew right away they shared something special. They have been inseparable ever since.
It is not hard to understand why Ryan was so mesmerized when he first saw a photo of Steph. She looks simply stunning. When she stepped out in her gorgeous gown for their first look session, I could tell he fell head over heels with her once again. He was totally speechless.
Their wedding venue Liberty Warehouse with its fantastic views of New York Harbor and the Statue of Liberty (on top of a spectacular sunset), guaranteed a dreamy ceremony by the water, and offered a unique backdrop for their wedding photos.
Steph and Ryan listened to some touching speeches that day, but probably the most emotional moment was when Amber, Ryan’s daughter, spoke during the ceremony. Another highlight was Steph’s surprise for her better half: knowing Ryan's passion for luxurious cars, she rented a Rolls Royce for the wedding. He loved his surprised. During the reception Stephanie surprised her guests, too, by changing from a lace dress with plunging neckline into a body-hugging strapless gown which beautifully contoured her silhouette making her look like royalty.
The splash of color was given by the purple bouquets and boutonnieres complemented by a very original purple wedding cake which evoked the timeless beauty of NYC, bearing images of the city’s famous landmarks.
What a great wedding. I enjoyed every single moment of their engagement session, rehearsal dinner, and wedding day. Steph and Ryan were excited. Happy. They just enjoyed every minute of their wedding weekend, and this is exactly what makes a wedding a complete joy for me to document. I'm so grateful to have been entrusted with photographing it all. Thank you!
