Jenine + Craig

A Beautiful Beach Wedding: Madison Beach Hotel

Jenine and Craig’s beach front wedding at the Madison Beach Hotel had all the necessary ingredients for a memorable wedding.  It was a perfect mix of grace and beauty (courtesy of the bride), broad smiles and quirkiness (check out the groom’s wedding shoes), tight hugs (whenever Craig hugged Jenine they looked as perfect as the last two pieces of a hard puzzle), mad dancing and pure fun (the reception photos will prove me right).

The couple met online, through eHarmony.

As soon as he came across her profile, Craig was tempted to write long winded emails to Jenine, but she found it more practical to just meet in person and see how they felt about each other. They first met in her neighborhood on a cold winter night - back then she was living in Brooklyn and Craig in Connecticut - and hit it off pretty quickly. The rest of their first evening together involved some more bar hopping, a guided tour for Craig around Greenpoint, and a kiss at Jenine’s door. Their love story officially started that very moment.

By the second date, Jenine was smitten with Craig’s blue eyes, blonde hair and sweet, adventurous nature. They kept seeing each other every weekend for one year until they decided to move in together. Craig, a hopeless romantic, proposed to Jenine with a gorgeous ring on a bridge in Paris going down on one knee. She knew he was the only one she wanted to share the rest of her life with. So, she accepted in the blink of an eye.

They have traveled several times to Europe, but are now looking forward to Craig’s first Asian trip (South Korea) where he will meet the family of Jenine’s mom. Until then, they will try new foods, go to concerts, and keep frequenting their favorite Norwegian Coffee Shop.

The couple said their I do’s at the Madison Beach Hotel while peaceful waves were hitting the shores in the background and unobstructed views of the shoreline charmed the guests. Later on, as I photographed them by the rocks, they hugged and kissed and confirmed their decision to get married on the beach.

Jenine chose a gorgeous lace mermaid dress and long veil, and her better half opted for a grey suit with sky blue tie and white boat shoes. A special mention goes to the bridesmaids, who channeled delicate floral gowns and looked like blooms in motion around the blushing bride.

I could not have asked for a sweeter, more willing couple to photograph.  Thank you, Jenine and Craig, for inviting me into your lives and selecting me to capture it all.
