Summer Maritime Parc Wedding Photos in Jersey City

How many first lunches do you know that led to the glorious “till death do us part”? Pauline and Karim’s did. And I have the wedding photos to prove it.

They first met at the Malibu Diner and instantly connected. It was their mutual passion for hiking that brought them there… and kept them talking. Drinking coffee after coffee for 4 uninterrupted hours.

They became friends that day, but only went on a real date one year later. Karim, a Jamaican-American born and bred in Brooklyn invited Pauline, a Chinese-American born in Boston and raised in Jersey to a place where she always wanted to go: Coney Island. That day they got to reminisce the sweet taste of childhood going on silly rides before ending the day with a great dinner by the water. By the time they got the check it was love.

Soon enough they discovered plenty of other common interests. Both have a passion for traveling (which they get to do quite a lot due to the nature of their jobs), cuisine (they are huge foodies, always exploring and tasting new flavors together), and outdoor activities (in winter they love snowboarding, while in summer they prefer hiking, camping and biking). The great thing about all these mutual hobbies? They actually make life as a couple easier and much more enjoyable.

Pauline and Karim tied the knot at Maritime Parc in New Jersey with a dreamy ceremony (check out the gorgeous oversized peonies the bride made herself for the background décor) that got guests teary-eyed, especially during the vows. Later on, the fathers’ heartfelt speeches kept everyone on emotional mode reflecting the saying: “when children find true love, parents find true joy”.

One of the wedding’s most intimate moments was Pauline singing to her husband during the reception (by the way, she has an amazing voice!). She also surprised her guests with an outfit change, switching her strapless white ball gown with a draped cream dress that gave her plenty of freedom to dance and mingle with guests.

Located in Liberty State Park, Maritime Parc, the beautiful location chosen by the couple, is one of New Jersey’s best waterfront wedding venues. It offers stunning panoramic views of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and Downtown Manhattan, elegant architecture and plenty of space for guests to move around.

So the next time you get invited to lunch by a new person, go with it and see what happens. You could meet your future spouse and have a great story tell, just like this one. Thank you for sharing this special time in your lives with me, Pauline and Karim!
