Great Liberty Warehouse Wedding Photos

I am not sure whether it was love at first sight for Tara and Maulik, but I know for a fact that the rugby shirt Maulik was wearing on their first date was the key to Tara’s heart (it matched one in her closet!). 

I was jazzed to shoot this couple at the gorgeous Liberty Warehouse in Red Hook, Brooklyn, on a beautiful fall day. Whenever I meet a bride and groom who are excited to be photographed, I consider it a gift. As a wedding photographer, it is truly important for me to collaborate well with my clients during the shoot and I am always happy to listen to their ideas.

Tara and Maulik met at Teaism, a tea shop in Dupont Circle. It was October 2015. They planned their first date on a Friday, after work. Tara requested to meet 30 minutes after their set time.  Maulik asked for 30 minutes more, as well.  In fact, they were both secretly hoping to get one last workout before the weekend. Little did they know then that they would soon start running, hiking and exercising together every single week-end. They have been teammates ever since that Friday.

On their big day, the majestic Lady Liberty acted as an honorary officiant herself, peeking from a distance and creating an amazing backdrop to the couple’s vows. Liberty Warehouse is a fantastic “rustic industrial” venue boasting beautiful deck areas for viewing the iconic statue and the breathtaking Manhattan skyline across the water. One of my favorite parts was shooting the couple’s portraits outdoors, and if you check their slideshow you will understand why.  This gem of a venue, Liberty Warehouse, truly offers stellar photographic ops. 

A Liberty Warehouse wedding is definitely something to experience. The amazing décor, impeccable service and entertaining party made this event memorable and a pleasure to photograph. 

Tara wore her stunning backless beaded dress with white sneakers, a match that suited perfectly her fun personality. It was really evident how present she and Maulik were with each other throughout their big day. I loved how they didn’t leave each other’s sides all night long and kept those big smiles on their faces. Not only did they look in love, they looked like best friends, as well. And capturing them together was a joy with every click of my shutter.
