Elizabeth + Rob
Palma Wedding
Elizabeth met the love of her life on the squash courts. She decided to break the ice herself, so she went for the killer pick-up line: “Can you help me with my backhand?”. Rob was sold and the couple has been an item ever since. In the meantime they got a rescue mutt named Pintxo (meaning little snack), but also realized they are brilliant at separately finding jobs in the same building (it happened twice in two different cities). Now, how is that for a challenge?
Everything from their getting ready moments with their family to their reception was about having a blast. After a giggle-filled street shoot where every instant presented a new unexpected photo, the couple said their “I do’s” and entertained their guests at the cosy Palma restaurant in New York. And what a fine time everybody had!
The place they chose to celebrate their big day was a very intimate Italian restaurant located in a city villetta. Elizabeth is very keen on al fresco receptions so, when they found this sweet place with a fairy tale garden with ivy covered walls, fresh herbs and flowers, they knew that was it. With its beamed ceilings, white stucco walls and delicious traditional Italian food, this venue was the perfect choice for the day.
The graceful Elizabeth opted for a romantic updo and a beaded strapless gown and Rob chose a blue suit and pink tie. Both wore matching broad smiles. They looked so genuinely happy, relaxed, and so head over heels for one another, that I was amazed at how these two lovebirds seemed to know just how to pose.
Elizabeth and Rob, I hope your life together is as fun and memorable as your wedding was. I feel so grateful that you chose me to photograph it all!
