Rebecca + Andrew
Modern Inn at New Hyde Park Wedding Photos
Rebecca and Andrew were a true joy to capture, and I had a feeling ever since their engagement session that they would be a fun couple to “work” with. And, since Andrew is a photographer himself, I knew these photos would mean a lot to them.
Their Korean wedding was celebrated at the Inn at New Hyde Park, a luxurious estate house complete with an elegant bridal suite, indoor and outdoor wedding chapels, gardens, fountains and terraces. I loved how they had two "first looks." One with the traditional Korean outfits, and one with Rebecca's white dress.
There is no proper Korean wedding without the Paebeak (the tea ceremony), and Rebecca and Andrew’s wedding was no exception. During this ritual their parents were honored with tea and edibles while the couple bowed to them as a sign of respect and listened to precious advice for their future life together. This ceremony was highly emotional, with tears of joy rolling down the faces of both parents and newlyweds.
During the reception guests played a lot of kissing games, which was really fun to capture. The atmosphere was fantastic, with friends singing songs throughout the evening to the new Mr. and Mrs. Get a glimpse of their photos above!
