Meredith + Mark
Ryland Inn Wedding
Being a military wife might be the toughest job in the military, yet Meredith did not even blink as she said “I do” to her beau, Mark.
Having met in Oman back in 2008, Meredith and Mark discovered more than one common passion. They both love traveling, hiking, diving, mountain-climbing, reading and…cheese-making (now that’s what I call true soulmates!).
Since Mark was an officer in the British army, Meredith traveled around the world to visit him wherever he was stationed at. However, he resigned his commission and will be attending business school; and now that he married Meredith, he will be traveling everywhere with his lovely Mrs.
Their wedding reception, celebrated at the beautiful Ryland Inn, a rustic yet chic New Jersey wedding venue, was a great opportunity to have all the couple’s international friends under the same roof celebrating Meredith and Mark’s love.
There were quite a few fun moments during the event, especially when Mark cut the wedding cake with the sword he had been wearing at his side during the ceremony. And then, he used the ultimate party trick - sabraging a champagne bottle like a pro (to be honest, I have never been more relaxed in the presence of an armed guy before – Mark mastered that sword!).
From the emotional speeches to the mad dancing, and even the jolly guest wearing a kilt, this wedding was a unique and colorful event that I am happy to share with you through my photos. Meredith & Mark: Thank you for this wonderful glimpse into your lives and I look forward documenting many more moments for you in the future!
