Surf Club on the Sound Wedding

Aimee said, we made plans for brunch the following week. And, plans for dinner the week after soon followed. After our second date, I said to my girlfriend, " I think I'm going to marry this guy." 

Her gut told her she was going to marry him already after date #2. Four years later here I was, shooting Aimee and Gianfranco’s wedding at the romantic Surf Club on the Sound. 

These two lovebirds met at a birthday party and their conversation lasted the whole night. They started dating and never drifted apart. That’s how easy it was.

When I met Aimee and Gianfranco they were incredibly excited about becoming Mr. and Mrs. and discovering together what their future had in store for them. They were totally ready to experience the joy and laughter, but also the tears and fears life would bring. 

On their big day, Aimee was the picture of grace in her body-hugging, strappy lace dress. Wearing a subdued pearl set and side swept tresses, she looked happy and relaxed, and oozed charm from every pore. Gianfranco sported an elegant blue suit with a soft pink bow tie and matching boutonniere (the father of the bride wore a similar combo, too).  Gianfranco looked excited (I loved the photo of him waiting for Aimee to walk down the aisle) and emotional (he shed a few tears).

The wedding venue, the Surf Club on The Sound in New Rochelle, New York, was out of this world amazing. As a photographer I enjoyed shooting in a space that added so much charm to the couple’s wedding photos.

From waterfront balconies and fountains to sumptuous chandeliers and an impressive double staircase that created a grand entryway, this picturesque venue offered stunning views from every angle. My favorite spot has to be the black and gold wrought-iron gazebo where I shot their first look photos and the ceremony. The open-air construction allowed guests to enjoy unobstructed views of the couple with the beach on the background which made the whole scene look even dreamier.

To end on a saccharine-sweet note, their spectacular wedding cake was decorated with roses and layers of pearls that hinted at the ones the blushing bride was wearing. Mouthwatering perfection.
