Katelyn + Larry
The Dominick Wedding
Seeing the loving and tender way Larry looked at Katelyn throughout their big day at The Dominick reminded me how every woman deserves a man who looks at her everyday like it’s the first time he saw her. Their wedding went by so incredibly fast and I would have loved to shoot more of this couple’s live and intense love story. I guess this is the only regret I have: weddings should last longer!
Katelyn was the magnetic type of bride, the one that walks into a room and silences the crowd. For some time. She was wearing a stunning wedding dress, a couture creation by British designers Ralph & Russo, the same label designing Meghan Markle’s wedding dress for her royal nuptials this year. The gown and matching cathedral veil in a soft oatmeal color featured the most delicate lacework and sparkling appliques fit. The orchid wedding bouquet, the dresses of the bridesmaids who, by the way, looked equally flawless, and the majestic flower arrangements (including the elegant groom’s boutonniere) were all burgundy. Simply splendid.
Larry met Katelyn when she was going through a very difficult time. For six months they chatted online for hours on end (maybe more than some couples get to speak in years), and got to know each other really well. They inevitably fell in love and Larry gave Katelyn’s life a whole new meaning. This love was the anchor that she needed. And he had it ready for her.
The couple became husband and wife and celebrated in style at the Dominick (which has recently changed its name from The Trump Soho) and their nuptials were as elegant as the couple looked. Soaring 46 stories above New York’s impressive skyline, the SoHo room was a picture perfect location for an intimate and chic lower Manhattan wedding.
At the end of the night, the only word that came to mind was "destiny." All of it felt like it was meant to be. And I feel so lucky to have been a part of it.
