The Foundry Wedding

Witnessing Mor and Murle’s big day in the splendid décor of the Foundry in Long Island City brought a beautiful quote to mind: “when you find someone who can make you laugh, smile, grow, lust, crave, want, feel, make you mad but happy... Keep that. That's euphoria.” That’s exactly what I felt in Mor and Murle's presence that day, pure euphoria, joy and love (plus tons of good vibes coming from Mor who was as happy as can be the whole day cracking jokes and making everyone laugh).

The morning started in the sweetest way with the cute flower girls running around the room while the emotional, giddy bride was getting ready. Mor and Murle wanted their wedding to be just a fun, relaxed party with all their loved ones. And that’s exactly what it was.

Their wedding venue, the Foundry, a former 19th century metal foundry, has an industrial feel mixed with dramatic accents, such as the exterior courtyard, which is carpeted with green ivy.

As she was walking down the aisle, Mor, started dancing together with her mom and brother. And, to make the day even more informal, there was no first dance, no cake cutting, and no speeches. However, she joked many times and wanted to thank her and her husband’s parents for having given them such similar names (don’t you agree that Mor and Murle seem to be more than just a mere coincidence?).

The guests danced, laughed, joked, got emotional and had a great day with the happy couple, and to me the whole event was the epitome of perfect simplicity. Check out some of my favorite wedding photos from Mor and Murle’s beautiful wedding at The Foundry above!
