Stunning Waterfront Wedding Photos from The Hyatt (Jersey City)
When you know you will be photographing an Indian wedding at the Hyatt Regency Jersey City on the Hudson, you know it’s going to be memorable. (And so it was. I have the wedding photos to prove it).
A few years back, Khyati and Bhavesh were living on different continents. When they decided to step up their dating game, they went online to search for their better halves. It was the best bet they ever made.
When Khyati, the New York girl, received a message from a London boy with a smooth opening line ("Hi....I'm Bhav"), she was immediately hooked. Their first date was in the Big Apple and it was a success. The first drink turned into dinner, the polite chatter became exciting conversation…. and a beautiful love story started there and then. After one year and a half of dating, laughter and countless adventures, Bhavesh whisked his Khyati away for a romantic getaway in the City of Lights, Paris. He got down on one knee by the Eiffel Tower and proposed. She cried and screamed with excitement. And the sparkler went on her finger.
Life together has been a fantastic journey so far for the bride and groom. Grateful that fate brought them together, they complement each other in the best way feeling their undeniable connection and genuine love for one another grow day by day.
On their wedding day, both Khyati and Bhavesh looked ecstatic. I liked how they incorporated cultural traditions into their modern wedding in the most fun yet practical way: in India, the man goes to the woman’s village to marry her – in this case, Bhavesh landed in NYC, Khaty’s “village”, to make her his bride. Another Indian wedding tradition is for the groom to arrive on a horse. Instead, Bhavesh chose to arrive in a Ferrari (still a matter of horses, only more powerful).
The grand venue they chose for their big day, Hyatt Regency Jersey City, boasts a fantastic location overlooking the NY Harbor on the Hudson and the Manhattan skyline.
I absolutely loved Khyati and Bhavesh’s wedding with its opulence (the bride’s attire and jewelry), burst of color (the ceremony setup), smiles (on every single face), tears (of pure joy) and love (endless) floating in the air. Enjoy their wedding slideshow as you get a sweet taste of modern India.
Thank you Khyati and Bhavesh for including me in your wedding plans. I loved every moment of my time with you and your wonderful family.
