Wedding Photography at Tribeca Rooftop

Be careful what you wish for. You might just get it! 

Caitlin once went to India with her friend and had the chance to see a traditional wedding. “I want that!”, she said out loud, and here she was, years later, marrying Rohit in an Indian wedding ceremony. That quote has never been more real.

The ultra-social, low-key, wine, art & food-loving couple anticipated a lively and diverse wedding with guests of all ages and an insane amount of dancing. And that’s just what they’ve got. Their nuptials were so much fun.

On Friday, before their Indian wedding ceremony, Rohit got to be in the spotlight during the Baraat, the groom’s wedding procession. He showed up on horseback, accompanied by family members and friends, and looked like a modern day prince surrounded by cheerful baraatis in a street that was shut down especially for the event by Sonal Shah and her staff.

After an action-packed Friday, the couple celebrated again on Saturday at the fabulous Tribeca Rooftop. Wearing a subdued yet sophisticated wedding dress with elegant draping and pleats, Caitlin was the epitome of distinction.  Caitlin's sister, who officiated the ceremony, was wearing a dress that echoed the bride’s gown. Just like his better half, Rohit looked super-elegant in his navy suit. 

Caitlin and Rohit were so relaxed throughout the day. One of my favorite moments happened on the roof when the pair started rehearsing their first dance, just before I took a few quick sunset shots of them. Those moments felt a little magical.

I could not tell which of the two was more nervous on the day. I loved capturing how Rohit and Caitlin would kiss, cuddle, get teary-eyed and dance like nobody was watching. At times it looked like it was just the two of them in their own private universe. 

Their chosen wedding location Tribeca Rooftop is one of my favorite wedding venues in New York City. Besides panoramic views of the majestic Empire State Building, the Hudson River and downtown Manhattan, this amazing 12th-floor venue offers a stunning reception space perfect for anything from elegant to extravagant receptions. 

Caitlin and Rohit, thank you for an incredible weekend. You were a joy to photograph… and to share laughs with!
