Valley Regency Wedding

I have always been a sucker for classy, elegant weddings, and Karen and Michael’s big day, held at the Valley Regency in Clifton, NJ was all this and more – a carefully planned wedding with stylish guests celebrating love in a dreamy location.

If you are already familiar with my style, a mix of candid moments and fashion-inspired portraiture, you'll notice that I am always looking out for genuine moments that create special post-wedding memories. I aim to capture candid moments as they unfold. This time I was thankful for the many opportunities that resulted in memorable shots (Karen in off-duty attire making sure her hair looked perfect before wearing her long veil, the bride and groom’s reaction as they set their eyes on each other for their first look, the beautiful first dance, the parents’ genuine happiness, the carefree, fun dancing, etc.). 

All the nerves, the smiles, and the sheer joy generated by a wedding are truly unforgettable, and I tried not to miss anything. 

Karen and Michael chose to tie the knot at the Valley Regency, a spectacular venue that set the stage for their wedding. Offering versatile outdoor spaces (the lush gardens of the property provided a truly stunning scenery for the couple’s outdoor ceremony) as well as a chic indoor space (the Grand Ballroom looked remarkable thanks to its gold accents, lavishly ornate walls  and sparkly chandeliers), the Valley Regency was the perfect backdrop for a wedding that was flawless from start to finish.

Michael was by his lady’s side most of the time, watching her with loving eyes and holding her in the sweetest of ways. 

Karen was the epitome of bridal perfection, channeling two beautiful dresses throughout the wedding. For the ceremony and portraits she opted for a subdued strapless lace gown with delicate embroidery and long veil, and for the reception she switched to a glam style with heavily beaded bodice and full tulle skirt that added the right amount of sparkle to her look.
