Brianna + Chris
Winvian Resort Wedding
A bride in a gorgeous wedding gown with an intoxicating smile. Check. An emotional groom (who falls for that smile every time). Check again. An enchanted rustic wedding venue: Winvian Farm. Could a wedding photographer ask for more? Ermm… Maybe an amazing band, gorgeous flower arrangements, stunning uplighting and a fantastic crowd that has one hell of a time at the reception. If that sounds like a lot, then just call me lucky for having captured all this and more on Brianna and Chris’s wedding day. Looking back at their nuptials, the only word that comes to mind now is WILD.
The protagonists of this story met at the Surf Lodge in Montauk. They were both wearing matching chambray shirts that day. Mere coincidence? The shirts were an easy conversation starter. And then they danced the night away and went home to a backyard tent in Montauk. At the time, they were all were kicked out for causing too much trouble in Montauk. But it's Brianna and Chris' wild spirit that also made their wedding night so much fun. What Chris most loves about his then dance partner is her unique personality, smile, and compassionate nature.
Looking back on their wedding day, Brianna and Chris agree the whole day was more fun than they ever expected. It was the type of day where friends had perfect timing and showed up on bikes during the first look photos to congratulate them.
Choosing Winvian Farm as the location for their wedding day added even more oomph to the whole event. The New England estate which boasts charming stone walls, green rolling lawns and gorgeous wildflower meadows was truly the ideal setting for this occasion. Boasting a stunning suite where the bride got ready together with her bridesmaids, the grand Gordon Brown House where guests danced until late, and generous patios, Winvian offered fantastic landscapes for outdoor photos, as well. I loved the green, fresh nature, which proved to be the perfect backdrop for the black and white clad couple.
A fantabulous live band was in charge with the entertainment. And I have to mention the hilarious moment when the Brianna's cousin, who also officiated the ceremony, simulated a heart attack while dancing to the beats of SHOUT. Then he came to life when the music started again. There was lots of dancing, sweating and singing, with each and every guest quickly getting into a party mood.
I had a blast documenting their wedding. Cristina Verger helped make sure every detail was perfect. Brianna and Chris: Every moment was a smash from your engagement photos until the end of the wedding reception. Thank you for taking me along for the ride!
